Trek prices have increased

We just got news that the prices of Trek bikes have increased from today.
Unfortunately – its the most popular models which have been affected. The Trek 3700, 4300 and the 4300D
prices as per 10 June 2009
Trek 3700 – Rs 18,495
Trek 4300 – Rs 24,475
Trek 4300D – Rs 29,130

The interim budget initially indicated that prices would fall by a few hundred rupees. So much for *that* hope. By the way, has the 7100 been affected too?

@sri apparently there are some changes in specs too ! Waiting to see what the changes are
@hari - 7100 was upp'd a few months back to Rs 20,450. No shipment of 7100s for atleast another month. Have to see after that. Am hoping its going to remain at 20,450 -

Hello Rohan (& Vasu, Sid & team), After taking the Trek 4300 today, I rode back home and felt great about it!! Absolute beauty to ride! Well, I am just back from a ride (JP Nagar 2nd phase --> Kanakpura --> Bannerghatta road --> JP Nagar 14Km) and felt absolutely good. Maintained slow speeds of 20-30 km/hr mostly.. but for a few min's on Bannerghatta rd just to test myself I hit 40+. I felt absolutely good and in control. (though I feel I need to take a few lessons on when to push and when not to) So... not sure if its the bike or me! I felt 20Km rides are doable easily contrary to what I first thought. Felt absolutely good to ride a bike after 12 yrs (I wont count the Lumala disaster I had 2 yrs back). Thanks to you guys!! I cant think of any other 'shop' that does this kind of work... patiently answering mails/questions/test rides/etc. You guys rock!! Cheers, Prem Sagar
